Palanyandi and Rabain seal foursomes success
The Bermuda Mixed Foursomes Championship concluded at Turtle Hill Golf Course at the weekend with Damian Palanyandi and Katyna Rabain being crowned champions.
Conditions were challenging on both days with winds out of the northeast in the region of 20 to 30 knots.
The event was a 36-hole event in which the first round was played using the Four-Ball format and the second round was modified Pinehurst also known as alternate shot.
Palanyandi and Rabain were the overnight leaders after scoring a 1-under par 53.
They then extended their lead in the second round with a 58 for a total of 111.
The defending champions, Jevon Roberts and Liz Carpio were never really a threat to the winners with scores of 57 and 62 for a total of 119.
The runners-up in the gross event were Dan Skoczylas and Kathryn Lloyd-Hines who came in with a 57 and 59 for a total of 116.
The Net Winners were the husband and wife team of Eamonn and Anne O’Neill.
