Golf influencers feature Port Royal and get more than 300,000 views
Port Royal Golf Course features in the latest YouTube video created by golf influencers, the Bryan brothers.
The video, which was filmed a couple of weeks ago at the Southampton course and has already racked up more than 300,000 views on YouTube, shows George and his PGA Tour professional sibling Wesley playing all 18 holes at the venue.
The brothers have 434,000 subscribers to their YouTube channel and have a love for the island and its courses after both played in the Butterfield Bermuda Championship last year. They used the Port Royal video to reveal that they will both be playing in the tournament again next month.
“The 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship will not have just one Bryan, but two,” George Bryan said.
“They were kind enough to extend another invitation my way and I’m going to be more excited to come back here, playing a tournament and soak up all the atmosphere.
“It’s going to be so much fun to relive the memories of last year and hopefully create new ones.”
Bermudian golfer Camiko Smith, who has caddied for both men at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, has qualified for the event this year and also gets a mention from the Bryans.
“My caddie last year, Camiko Smith, has also qualified for the tournament this year. He caddied for me last year, Wesley the year before and now he has made it in, so a big shout out to Camiko,”
For George, the Butterfield Bermuda Championship was his first appearance on the PGA Tour at the age of 35 and he was delighted to make the cut, eventually finishing tied for 69th. Wesley, who won the RBC Heritage in 2017 when beating future European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald by a shot, finished tied for 37th.
The Bryans’ YouTube channel features them travelling the world to play some of the world’s greatest courses with Valhalla, Whistling Straits and Pinehurst joining Port Royal among courses to feature in recent videos.
