Russian pro Egor Eroshenko qualifies for Butterfield Bermuda Championship
A new face will be in action at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship after Russian Egor Eroshenko qualified for the event just a few months into his professional career.
Eroshenko, 23, will make his PGA Tour debut in Bermuda after winning Monday’s qualifying event by a shot on the International Course at Omni Orlando Resort. He will be joined by fellow qualifiers Luke Schniederjans, Tyler Collet and Ethan Cairns.
The Russian recently turned pro after a four-year college career at the University of Central Florid, and the Butterfield Bermuda Championship qualifier was contested just 40 miles from his college campus. He was named an All-America Scholar as a senior, earned his first Minor League Golf Tour victory at the Westchester two-day tournament last month and won the 2018 Russian junior boys’ title and the 2019 Russian Amateur Championship. He also won a medal at the 2019 European Boys Team Championship.
The Butterfield Bermuda Championship, which starts on November 14 at Port Royal Golf Course, marks the penultimate event of the FedExCup Fall, with the top 125 players in the standings after The RSM Classic becoming fully exempt for the tour in 2025.
