New father Rafael Campos wins 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship
Rafael Campos has crowned the most amazing week of his life by winning the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
Campos, whose wife gave birth to a daughter on Monday, arrived in Bermuda just in time to make his opening tee shot on Thursday but produced a final round of 68 in windy conditions to finish on 19 under and pick up his first win on the PGA Tour at Port Royal Golf Course.
The 36-year-old from Puerto Rico started the day as the joint-leader alongside Andrew Nowak and produced an eagle on the par-5 7th, birdies on the 6th, 10th, 11th and 17 holes with the only blips bogeys on the 9th and 14th, at which he took four putts.
Nowak finished second on 17 under, with Adrien Dumont de Chassart and Mark Hubbard tied for third on 15 under
