The winner of the Bermuda Match Play Championship this year will win more than just island bragging rights.

As well as the winning trophy, the 2025 champion will receive an exemption to compete in the prestigious North & South Championship, which will take place from June 22 to 28 at the iconic Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina.

Set against the iconic backdrop of Pinehurst No 2 and No 4, the North & South Championship remains one of amateur golf’s most esteemed tournaments.

As the longest-running national amateur event in the United States, it has been a proving ground for future stars, including legendary winners such as Jack Nicklaus and Curtis Strange. Bermuda’s Michael Sims also claimed victory in 1995.

Bermuda Golf Association president Craig Brown is thrilled that the Bermuda Match Play winner will benefit from his organisation’s commitment to providing pathways for Bermuda golfers to gain invaluable experience against the best amateur players in the world and earn coveted World Amateur Golf Ranking points.
