CG Insurance closes office due to Covid-19 contact

Office closure: CG Insurance will close its Reid Street office for the rest of the week.

CG Insurance – formerly known as Colonial Insurance – has closed its Reid Street office for the remainder of the week after an employee was in contact with someone who tested positive for coronavirus.

In a statement this morning, CG said it would re-open its Jardine House office on Monday and was acting out of “an abundance of caution”.

A CG spokesperson said: “It has come to our attention that a CG Insurance employee has been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19. This employee is awaiting their COVID-19 test result and is currently under quarantine.”

The spokesperson added: “We are taking this step out of extreme caution to ensure the safety of our clients, our employees and the community at large. We will continue to provide our clients with the highest level of service during this unique time.”

CG representatives will continue to service clients with claims, policy renewals and to answer any questions via telephone, e-mail and through the online insurance portal.
