Four Saltus pupils, two teachers cut hair for St Baldrick’s

For the fourth year at Saltus Grammar School, volunteers have had their heads shaved to raise money for the St. Baldricks Foundation for childhood cancer research and for PALS. This year’s shavees include: S11s Nicholas Bergquist and Alexander Davis, S9’s Dylan Lightbourn and Philip Hagen, Secondary Design Technology teacher Philip Heap and Secondary English teacher Stefanie Pedro (as an additional donation, before having her head shaved, Ms Pedro put her hair into pigtails to be cut and donated to Locks of Love).

Volunteers at Saltus Grammar School are braving the hair clippers this week in the name of cancer research.Teachers and students will get their heads shaved to raise money for the St Baldrick’s Foundation for childhood cancer research, along with PALS.Yesterday, S11 students Nicholas Bergquist and Alexander Davis, S9’s Dylan Lightbourn and Phillip Hagen, and teachers Philip Heap and Stephanie Pedro got shaved.Ms Pedro will also gift her hair to the children’s charity Locks of Love.S4 students William Attridge and Magnus Henneberger will surrender their hair today, and upper primary students will wear hats to school to raise awareness and funds.
