The Argus Group, alongside the Bermuda Hospitals Board and the Department of Health, will this year focus on heart health during the annual Health Fair. The Argus Health Fair, will take place on April 7, featuring more than 35 booths representing various health-related charities and organisations, free health screenings and mini massages.CEO of the BHB, David Hill, said the message of the fair, which is intended to encourage preventative health care, is an important one for the Island. “We see the results every day of people failing to manage major health risk factors,” he said. “We can all be doing more to look after ourselves better and education is a key part of this.”Argus Group President Gerald Simons said: “We chose heart health as the theme for the Argus booth as heart disease is the cause of nearly half the deaths in Bermuda each year, making it the Island’s biggest killer.”Along with receiving information, participants will be able to sign up to receive the new Argus Cookbook, with subscribers receiving healthy recipes by e-mail on a regular basis. There will also be a raffle with a winner taking home a Nintendo Wii and a copy of the health game Wii Fit.The Argus Health Fair will be held between 10.30am and 4pm on the 6th floor of the new Argus building on Wesley Street in Hamilton.Useful websites: www.bermudahospitals.bm, www.argus.bm
