Two US surgeons are to speak at a special dinner for doctors in Bermuda.

Bermuda-born Dr Duane Pitt, president of the Desert Institute for Spine Disorder and the International Surgical Foundation in Arizona, and the Lahey Clinic of Massachusetts’ Dr Robert Dolan will discuss their specialities at the “Docs for Dinner” event, to be held at Cafe Lido at the Elbow Beach Hotel in Paget.

Dr Pitt is a specialist in spinal surgery and the treatment of both operative and non-operative conditions.

Dr Dolan works in head and neck surgery and is an expert in the treatment of cancer in these areas.

Around 30 Island doctors are expected to attend and they will be eligible for Continuing Medical Education credits from Lahey Clinic Hospital Inc.

The event is sponsored by Bermuda Healthcare Services and the Brown-Darrell Clinic.

The dinner is scheduled for Thursday, June 19.
