Asthma charity Open Airways is to organise a short walk to celebrate 20 years of helping Bermuda breathe easier.

The Love Your Lungs stroll around Hamilton’s City Hall will be part of the charity’s education event on Tuesday to mark World Asthma Day.

A spokeswoman said: “Rally up your office or friends for this short lunchtime stroll all in support of helping Bermuda breathe.”

This year’s World Asthma Day theme is “stay active with asthma — exercise is for everyone”.

Registration costs $20 and Open Airways will give away themed T-shirts.

The spokeswoman added: “If you’re unable to join us for the walk, please make a donation to support our 20 years of working throughout the community.”

Open Airways will also provide education material on asthma control.

The event will run from 11.30am to 2pm.

A free spacer for inhalers and microfibre cloth or a pillow will also be up for grabs while supplies last.
