Buses back on the roads tomorrow

Buses are to resume daily service tomorrow, according to the Department of Public Transportation.

It followed the suspension of service on Friday after an employee in the DPT tested positive for the coronavirus.

The announcement today came after an assessment by the Ministry of Health.

But the public has been asked to avoid using buses unless it is essential.

Passengers were reminded not to board if they were feeling unwell, and to wear masks at all times.

Those without masks will not be allowed on board. Hands must be sanitised, and physical distancing obeyed in seating. Conversation should be kept to a minimum.

Any necessary conversation with the bus driver should be conducted at the door.

Healthcare workers must not wear their uniforms.

Windows should be open for natural ventilation, weather permitting.

The bus schedule is available online at www.gov.bm/bus
