Conference on breast and ovarian cancer today

Hospital staff will get free admission to an online conference on breast and ovarian cancer coming today.

The Pink and Teal virtual conference will showcase “leading specialists on the latest and cutting edge advances on the treatment and prevention of breast and ovarian cancer”,

Two doctors, Francis Arena and Maria Theodoulou, will also join cancer specialists at 2pm on Saturday for a broadcast on Magic 102.7FM discussing advances in cancer treatment.

The event is being organised by Innovative Medical Conferences which also plans to launch a monthly radio programme on Inter-Island Communications about health issues faced by Bermudians.

Glenn Blakeney of Inter-Island Communications, said the show would be able to reach “audiences around the world”.

He added: “It’s an incredible opportunity for listeners to learn more about cutting edge advances in medicine as well as other beneficial information related to serious heath challenges such as cancer, diabetes, hypertension and heart disease.”
