Chance to win hotel stay for getting vaccinated
Residents who get vaccinated against the coronavirus at a series of pop-up clinics will be in with a chance of winning a weekend hotel stay.
The Hamilton Princess and Beach Club will host three sessions when people will be treated to lemonade, cookies and brownies while they wait.
A spokeswoman for the resort said that the clinics would be run by the Department of Health in the hotel’s Harbourview Ballroom.
The clinics will be held on Sunday, October 3 from 10am to 3pm; Friday, October 8 from 3pm to 7pm; and Sunday, October 10 from 1pm to 5pm.
The spokeswoman added: “While the hotel is a convenient location for those looking to get their first shot, there are other incentives too.
“Those waiting for their vaccine or who are in the 15-minute observation period, will be treated to refreshing mango lemonade as well as freshly made brownies and The Duchess Café and Gelateria’s famous chocolate-chip cookies.
“All of those who attend the clinic at the Hamilton Princess will receive a gift voucher for 50 per cent off of Crown and Anchor’s famous Sunday Brunch.
“Everyone will also be automatically entered into a prize draw for a chance of winning a weekend stay in a Gold room at the hotel and a dinner for two.”
The spokeswoman said: “These clinics are open to members of the general public, as well as hotel industry colleagues, who are looking to receive a dose of the vaccine.
“All that is needed is a valid photo ID, such as a driver’s licence or passport.”
Tim Morrison, the resort’s general manager, added: “We at Hamilton Princess and Beach Club are proud to be doing our part to support the Department of Health in providing a convenient and appealing location for those to come and get their vaccine.
“With this latest wave of cases, it’s clearer than ever just how important it is for the health and wellbeing of our community and for the future of Bermuda’s tourism that everyone who can get vaccinated, does get vaccinated.”
