UK Covid travel changes

Take off: The UK has eased Covid safety regulations for travellers entering the country (File photograph)

Vaccinated travellers flying to the UK from Bermuda will not have to undergo multiple Covid tests on arrival, from today.

Arrivals from “low risk” countries – including Bermuda – will not have to take a pre-departure test as long as they have proof that they have been vaccinated.

Travellers still have to have a test after landing although by the end of this month it is hoped that a cheap lateral flow test will be sufficient, rather than the more costly PCR test.

Unvaccinated travellers will still have to quarantine for ten days, as well as taking coronavirus tests before and after their trips.

Travellers from countries on a red list of high-risk jurisdictions are barred from entry unless they have right of residence in the UK.
