Minister’s warning to non-vaccinated over US travel
Created: Oct 14, 2021 07:53 AM
Non-vaccinated residents could be blocked from entering the US – even if they need urgent medical treatment, it has been revealed.
Kim Wilson, the health minister, issued the stark warning at a press conference last night.
The minister pointed out that the US had introduced the tough safety measure – but that there were no guidelines on whether unvaccinated people travelling for medical treatment would be exempt from the ban.
Ms Wilson said: “There has been no development on how those that require medical care in the United States will be treated.
“Therefore I encourage those who are not vaccinated to start to consider their options if the United States determines that exemptions will not apply for unvaccinated persons with medical needs.”
