Bermuda has recorded another Covid-related death in the past week, bringing the total number of fatalities from the disease to 155.
But the number of active cases has almost halved in the past seven days to 34 — down from 65 last week. Seven of those patients are in hospital.
The latest figures were posted on the Government’s website last night.
With the majority of testing now taking place at home and going unreported, the Ministry of Health has acknowledged that a true picture of Covid-19 cases could not be known.
Last month, health officials confirmed that a highly contagious variant of the virus had been detected on the island.
There have been 18,718 positive test results since the virus arrived on the island in March 2020.
