Number of active Covid-19 cases falls, figures show
The number of active Covid-19 cases in and out of hospital has fallen, according to the Ministry of Health.
The latest Covid-19 figures, released by the ministry this afternoon, include ten patients being treated for the virus at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital – three fewer than last week.
None of the hospitalised Covid-19 patients were listed as being in the intensive care unit.
Meanwhile, the number of known active cases outside the hospital has fallen from 25 to 6, bringing the total number of known active cases on the island from 38 to 16.
No new deaths were reported in the past week, leaving the total number of Covid-19 cases recorded to date at 157.
However, with the majority of testing now taking place at home and going unreported, the Ministry of Health has acknowledged that a true picture of Covid-19 cases could not be known.
