Carika Weldon to speak at Genomics Equity Series

A Bermudian research scientist will be taking part in a talk on genomics today.
Carika Weldon will one of two guests of the Diverse Data Initiative at Genomics England, which hosts a monthly genomics equity series online.
Dr Weldon, along with Charles Kwaku-Odoi, Chief Officer of the Caribbean and African Health Network, will be discussing the topic of engagement and research within the Caribbean community.
She will be discussing the lack of inclusion of the Caribbean genome in global data sets and the role her company, CariGenetics will play to change this.
