A health-monitoring app to help people to follow their immunisation schedule is up and running, the Minister of Health announced this morning.

Healthy People Bda will feature a vaccine schedule to find out which immunisations should have been had, based on age.

The app also features a guide for child development milestones and a map of locations for immunisation services.

The app was first announced in 2019 as part of the health ministry’s vaccine uptake strategy to combat hesitancy against the jab.

Kim Wilson, the Minister of Health, told the House: “This app provides the community with easy access to vaccine and child health information and, most importantly, is a space for reliable health information.

“The app is part of a multipronged approach to increasing the community’s trust, knowledge and participation in Bermuda’s immunisation programme.”

Healthy People Bda is available on the App Store and Google Play.
