BF&M hosting ‘wellness week’ from June 26 to June 30
BF&M is encouraging residents to stay fit and healthy by hosting a “wellness week”.
The event, at Barr’s Park Bay from June 26 to June 30, will feature free fitness and yoga classes, along with massages and circuit-training sessions.
Michelle Jackson, the firm’s executive vice-president and group head of life, health and pensions, said: "We are excited to host BF&M Wellness Week as part of our commitment to promoting health and wellness in our community.
"This event offers a unique opportunity for individuals of all ages to come together, learn and engage in activities that support their wellbeing. We encourage everyone to join us for a week filled with inspiration, education and fun."
The sessions will be held daily between 11am and 2pm. According to a BF&M spokesman, each day of the week will have a theme, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy. The schedule is as follows:
Mindfulness Monday: participants will have the opportunity to engage in relaxing activities, such as yoga, Pilates and painting workshops.
Men's Health Tuesday: the session will focus on raising awareness and providing resources for men to lead healthier lives. Fitness classes such as spinning and circuit training will be offered.
Wellness Wednesday: attendees can explore various aspects of wellness, including nutrition, mental health and physical health. Complementary massages, along with yoga, high-intensity interval training and body combat classes will be available.
Women's Health Thursday: specialists catering to the specific needs of women — such as lymph massages, emotional wellness support groups and pelvic floor physiotherapy — will be on hand. Fitness classes will include Thai boxing, spinning and beyond booty.
Family Fitness Friday: children will be welcome to participate in fitness classes and the thrill of an inflatable obstacle course.
