Four make the grade in healthcare exam
Four people have passed examinations in a growing field of healthcare on the island.
Osteopathy is a form of therapy that includes the physical manipulation of muscles and bones to improve health.
The examining board of the Bermuda Osteopathy Association reported that Natthaporn Jutharlee, Nongnuch Manajit, Nattida Pannok and Kulab Prapawesang had passed its Level 1 osteopathic manual therapist registered board exam.
The test, offered three times a year, was sat on July 3.
The four students, from Thailand, were commended last month after earning osteopathic qualifications at Bermuda College.
Barbara Holder, the BOA’s registrar, said that the examination was a requirement for joining the organisation as a professional member.
Dr Holder added: “European-style osteopathy is a self-regulated complementary health profession in Bermuda.
“Its popularity and level of awareness has steadily progressed over the last decade.
“The Bermuda Osteopathy Association is committed to expanding safe osteopathic care within our community.”
