BHB: Lamb Foggo will see patients over Cup Match

The East End’s medical clinic will stay open from noon until 8pm through the Cup Match holiday next Thursday and Friday, the Bermuda Hospitals Board has said.

The Lamb Foggo Urgent Care Centre will keep its regular weekend hours of 9am to 9pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The BHB also listed the expected waiting times for patients, based on the severity of conditions rather than order of arrival.

For acuity level one, treatment will be immediate, while level two should be ten to 15 minutes, and level three 30 to 45 minutes.

Level four acuity cases will be seen in one to two hours and level five could take two or more hours.

The BHB called on the public not to drink and drive.

Chikezie Dean Okereke, the chief of emergency, also urged drivers to observe the speed limit and use a seatbelt at all times.

Anyone at the East End with a minor injury should attend the Lamb Foggo centre.

In cases of major injury as well as a suspected heart attack or stroke, patients should attend the Emergency Department at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital or call 911.

Clinicians at the Lamb Foggo centre and KEMH’s Emergency Department attend to people based on the severity of their condition.
