Webinar on infectious disease control in hospitality offered
Hospitality workers have been invited to a training webinar on preventing the spread of diseases in the workplace.
The Caribbean Public Health Agency, or Carpha, will walk attendees through the Regional Tourism and Health Programme and the services it will offer the hospitality sector.
The webinar will look at the infectious diseases that could potentially have an impact on the industry and how workers can prevent and control the spread of these diseases.
Kim Wilson, the Minister of Health, said: “We are grateful to Carpha for offering this free training for our local hospitality sector.
“Our hospitality industry places a high priority on health and safety, and through this webinar, attendees can take advantage of the opportunity to ask public health experts questions about health, infectious diseases, THP and traveller safety.
“This session can increase knowledge and promote proactive measures for healthier and safer staff and travellers.”
The webinar will be supported by Bermuda’s THP Committee, which includes participants from the Ministry of Tourism and the Bermuda Tourism Authority.
Participation will also help Bermuda to receive the Carpha’s Healthier Safe Tourism Award and the World Travel and Tourism Council’s Safe Travels Stamp.
Those interested in signing up can register through Zoom.
Registration will remain open until the webinar.
