Quaker Oats expands product recall
Quaker Oats, which issued a health warning last month that some of its products might have been contaminated with salmonella, has added two cereals to the product recall.
So far, the company has not received reports of illnesses related to the withdrawn products.
The 14.5 oz cereal Quaker Oatmeal Squares, in cinnamon as well as brown sugar flavour, have been flagged up with Dunkley & Pioneer Dairies, the authorised distributor on the island.
The product is being removed from local stores, with consumers advised to either discard them or return them with the purchase receipt.
The customer service hotline can be reached at consumers.1800@pepsico.com.
The previously recalled granola bars and granola cereals are included in a detailed list at the company’s website.
