The Department of Health is hosting several events to mark Public Health Week.

Kim Wilson, the Minister of Health, said the programme was part of a drive to encourage healthy living.

She said: “Public Health Week is an important part of the Government of Bermuda's mission to promote healthy lifestyles, and I encourage everyone to participate in these free activities.

“You can gain valuable insights into improving your health and wellbeing and learn how to make informed choices for a healthier future.”

The health department will hold a positive parenting virtual lunch and learn session at 12.30pm tomorrow.

There will also be a free basic self-defence demonstration with Roberto Carneiro in Victoria Park between 5.30pm and 6.30pm.

On Wednesday, a panel discussion — Let’s Talk Health and Healing for Women — will be held at the National Sports Centre pavilion between 6pm and 7.30pm.

The week ends on Friday with a farmers’ market and healthy living event at City Hall between 10am and 2pm.
