BDA to promote healthy dietary choices at Ag Show
Fresh fruit will be on offer when the Bermuda Diabetes Association’s staff share information on healthy nutritional choices at the 83rd edition of the Agricultural Exhibition this week.
The charity said its stall will be dedicated to advocating for healthier lifestyles at the event at the Botanical Gardens from Thursday through Saturday.
Lori Rockhead, executive director of the BDA, said: “Amid the excitement and festivities of the Ag Show, the association is providing mouth-watering fresh fruit as a healthy option for snacking.”
She added: “Our stall offers attendees the opportunity to enjoy delicious, nutritious options that support their overall health and wellbeing.”
Ms Rockhead said the charity’s stall would operate as an “educational platform on nutrition” at the event.
“We will also stress the importance of hydration by promoting water as an ideal choice for overall health.”
She added: “We believe that events like the Ag Show provide an excellent opportunity to engage with the public and inspire positive lifestyle changes.”
The charity thanked donors and volunteers for supporting its cause at the show.
