A health clinic for men offered medical services to a record 50 people on Saturday.

The DailyMale Men’s Health Clinic was held at the Bermuda Industrial Union and provided free services including testing for prostate cancer and cardiovascular disease.

Jade Robinson, a cofounder of DailyMale, said: “Our first clinic of the year was heart-warming as we had such an incredible response.

“It’s truly amazing to see the impact that we are having in such a short time frame and how so many men are benefiting.

“I want to specially thank and highlight the incredible work of all the DailyMale volunteers as none of this would be possible without them.

“The amount of time and effort that goes into holding these clinics takes a lot of work, passion and love for the Bermuda community.

“I am honoured to work with such amazing individuals, they are indeed heroes.”

DailyMale, which received official charity status this year, caters mostly to men over 50 who are uninsured or underinsured.

The organisation said it was seeking donations to help buy a purpose-built bus that would provide greater mobility and convenience.

Another four clinics are planned for the year, with the next on June 8 at St George’s Cricket Club.
