BHB no longer accepting payments at Hamilton office
From January 1 the Bermuda Hospitals Board will no longer accept payments at its Hamilton location in Craig Appin House on Wesley Street.
A BHB spokeswoman encouraged patients to make payments online.
She said the Bank of Butterfield and HSBC have included the BHB in their list of payees for online payments.
In addition, Clarien Bank clients can make online transfers using the BHB’s account #6000247519.
Payees should include their statement number, followed by their full name for online payments.
She said people can make payments with cash, credit card or personal cheque at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
Payments can be made at the cashier’s window on the ground floor of the acute care wing of KEMH from 9am to 3pm, at the emergency department between 3pm and 9am on weekdays and on weekends.
Payments can also be made at the Lamb Foggo Urgent Care Centre in St David’s during its opening hours from 9am to 9pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Arthur Ebbin, the BHB’s chief financial officer, said residents can speak with the hospital accounts department if they are having difficulty settling their bill.
“We will work on a payment plan with you,” he said.
