Pantheons in comeback win over Upstarts
Men’s DivisionPantheons 3Upstarts 1Pantheons came from behind to beat Upstarts at the weekend.Upstarts took the lead in the 45th minute through Adrian Beasley, but Steve Miles drew Pantheons level in the 57th.Tony Ward gave Pantheons the lead in the 64th, and added his second three minutes.Spartans 2Polecats 3Polecats outlasted Spartans to grab all three points.Donovan Simmons gave Spartans the lead in the ninth minute, but Polecats were level in the 27th minute through Lee Uddin before Richard Marriott gave them the lead for the first time in the 48th.Nigel Deane gave Polecats a two-goal cushion in the 65th. Simmons grabbed his second of the game to set up for a grandstand finish and bring his side with one in the 70th, but it was too little too late.Women’s DivisionRavens I 3Wildcats 2Ravens I needed Georgia Harris’ hat-trick to defeat Wildcats.Harris struck in the 13th, 49th, and 67th minutes to propel her side to the win, while Susanna Almeida and Michelle Ming scored in the 55th and 69th for Wildcats.Longtails 1Ravens II 7Juliette Ferrari-McComb scored a hat-trick to guide Ravens II to a comfortable win over Longtails.Emma Simmons, Kristen Ingelman, Kristen Morbey and Amori Venter also scored for the winners.Maya Palacios scored for Longtails.Canaries 0Ravens 3Georgia Harris scored twice to give the Ravens a win over Canaries.Harris scored in the 39th and 54th minutes before Juliette Ferrari-McComb wrapped up the win in the 66th minute.Budgies II 0Wildcats 2Susanna Almeida and Suzanne Moniz scored for Wildcats in their win over Budgies II.Almeida gave the Wildcats the lead in the 47th minute, before Moniz doubled their lead three minutes later.Bluebirds 1Budgies I 3Budgies got goals from three different goalscorers to overpower Bluebirds.Keishae Robinson, Jasmine Patterson and Alex Francis scored for Budgies, while Kourtney Fassler opened the scoring with her goal for Bluebirds.Cardinals 0Swallows 5Jennifer Hale scored a brace in her side’s win over Cardinals.Hale scored the final two goals of the game.
