Spartans 3

Spartans and Upstarts couldn’t be separated in a match that produced six goals.

Richard Minors scored the opening goal for Spartans in the 26th minute only for Tom Gridley to grab the leveller in the 40th.

Spartans had a two-goal lead courtesy of Donovan Simons and Hemijah Bean in the 51st and 62nd minutesrespectively but a late brace from James Morgan, who hit the net in the 66th and one minute later earned his side a share of the spoils.

Women’s A Division

Ravens 1

Longtails 1

Ravens and Longtails shared the points in their weekend encounter.

After a scoreless first half, Maya Palacio scored in the 46th minute to give Longtails the lead.

But it lasted 19 minutes as Kirsten Ingelman equalised in the 65th minute to leave the sides all square.

Budgies 7

Mix ‘B’ Team 0

Three players scored braces as Budgies beat a Mixed ‘B’ team comfortably.

Tse Minors struck in the 44th and 51st minute while Francesca Cacace (56th, 68th) and Azari Thomas (64th, 67th) also helped themselves to doubles as well.

Erica Parsons opened the scoring in the 37th minute.

Women’s B Division

Ravens 1

Longtails 3

Rebecca Gibbons scored twice for Longtails as they downed Ravens.

Gibbons grabbed her first in the sixth minute and her second in the 39th while Maya Palacio added the third in the 53rd.

Ravens got their goal through Jessica McClure in the 28th.

Canaries 3

Budgies 2

Budgies went ahead through Erica Parsons in the 15th minute only for Claudine Pullen to level matters two minutes later.

Kirstie Jones gave Canaries the lead for the first time in the 31st and that lead was doubled three minutes later another a goal by Jenni Crayford.

Brittany Faries pulled her side within a goal in the 70th but that would be the closest they would come to getting back on level terms.
