Keishae Robinson scored from a perfectly executed penalty corner as the Bermuda women’s hockey team were defeated 2-1 by Lasell College Lasers, an NCAA Division III school from Newton, Massachusetts, on Wednesday night.
Lasell took an early lead against Bermuda, who were playing for the first time since the Central American and Caribbean qualifiers in Kingston, Jamaica, last November.
However, Bermuda equalised when Robinson hit the backboard with power and precision from a set piece that was inserted by Georgia Harris and stopped by Selina Whitter in textbook fashion near the end of the first half.
Lasell struck again in the second half, before Kascia White had a “goal” disallowed for Bermuda.
