Scoring for fun: Jeremy Estey has scored nine goals this season for CG Insurance (Photograph supplied)

Jeremy Estey took his goal tally for the season to nine as he helped CG Insurance to a 6-2 victory over Positive Image Dental in the Bermuda Ball Hockey Association league at Pembroke Community Club on Wednesday.

The win was the fourth triumph of the season for CG, who bounced back from their first loss of the season against Spine and Sport last week, and they now sit top of the league with 12 points, four ahead of Frontier and Spine and Sport.

Estey, 39, has been in great form since the start of the season, scoring five goals in CG Insurance’s 8-4 triumph over BDA Spirits last month, but he missed the team’s 5-3 win against defending champions Appleby as he was off the island.

“Team CG came out strong after suffering our first loss of the season,’’ Estey said.

“The guys had great possession play all night and plenty of scoring chances. John Duda couldn’t find the back of the net yet again but continues to get plenty of chances with his high IQ play.

“Defence and goalies on both sides played great and kept the game exciting for the fans.”

In another match played on Wednesday, Applied Computer Technologies won 5-3 against Hamilton Princess.

Sean McNulty led the scoring for ACT with a brace, while Ben Willshaw, Christopher Jackson, and Ronnie Dzurus weighed in with the rest of the goals.

Drew Daly, Townie Jackson and Adam Fenos were on target for Hamilton Princess.
