Bermuda-based investment manager Osmium Capital Management Ltd is changing its name to Revelation Capital Management Ltd.In a statement, the firm said the new name “symbolises our core beliefs and demonstrates the process behind our strong performance, which involves working hard to peel back layers of complexity to reveal previously undiscovered investment opportunities”.The company already uses the name Revelation America in the US.Osmium, which has almost $500 million in assets under management, was founded by former ABN Amro proprietary desk trader Chris KuchannyThe company has made a name for itself as an innovator. In January 2009, it announced that it was allowing investors in its Osmium Special Situations Fund to denominate their holdings in gold.Investors who partook have profited from that decision. Yesterday afternoon gold was trading at around $1,414 per troy ounce - up about 60 percent from the time the option started being offered.
