Efforts to oust Billing Services chairman

Major shareholders in Bermuda-based Billing Services Group plc are aiming to force and extraordinary general meeting to be held in order to remove chairman Patrick Henegham and two directors.Manx Financial Group plc (MFG), which holds 1.7 million shares in London-listed Billing Services, has joined Galloway Limited and Jim Mellon to requisition the EGM, StockMarketWire.com reported.Billing Services is a provider of clearing and settlement, payment services and financial risk management solutions.As well as Mr Henegham, the shareholders are seeking to remove non-executive directors Thomas Richter and Admiral Leighton Smith, and elect Denham Eke and Swen Lorenz to the board.MFG is chaired by Mr Mellon, while Mr Eke is MFG’s chief executive. Mellon’s interest in Billing Services, including the MFG shares, represents 24.5 percent of the issued capital.
