Brewer leaves Butterfield Bank
Dianne Brewer will today spend her last day as senior vice-president, marketing and corporate communications, of Butterfield Bank.Ms Brewer, also well known as a television news reader for ZBM, decided to leave, Butterfield’s senior executive vice-president, Bermuda, Michael Collins said yesterday.Rhonda Joy, vice-president of marketing, and Mark Johnson, vice-president, communications, brand and public affairs, will now report directly to Mr Collins.Ms Brewer joined Butterfield Asset Management in November 1995 as associate director, business development and held increasingly senior roles during her 11 years in the division.“Whilst in BAM, Dianne was instrumental in building a strong Relationship Management and Sales team and strategy that resulted in substantial growth in our assets under management and raised the profile of the bank and the Butterfield funds in the investor community,” Mr Collins said.In 2006, Ms Brewer was appointed head of marketing and corporate communications. In that role, she led several high-profile projects, including the launch of a new group website in 2006, the bank’s 150th anniversary campaign, and its multi-jurisdictional brand revitalisation project.“Dianne also led the Group’s media and public relations efforts during a challenging financial period for the Bank, and her experience and leadership proved invaluable in helping us maintain Butterfield’s reputation in the market,” Mr Collins added.She was promoted to senior vice-president in 2009.
