Conyers hires Botsford
Conyers Dill & Pearman has announced the appointment of Blair Botsford to its trust and private client practice in Bermuda.Ms Botsford brings with her extensive expertise in estate planning and administration, trusts, incapacity planning and taxation. Her practice focuses on the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, applications for grants of representation, mutual will agreements, estate and trust accounts. She also specialises in cross-border estate planning, as well as contentious trust and estate matters.Ms Botsford was previously a partner in the Waterloo office of Canadian firm Miller Thomson LLP, where she specialised in private client matters including multi-jurisdictional transactions. While at Miller Thomson, she also acted as outside counsel to Canadian Bank CIBC, where she co-ordinated a variety of contentious trust and estate matters.Alec Anderson, global head of trust and private client, said: “I am delighted to welcome Blair to the Conyers trust and private client team.
