Bacardi has appointed Michael Dolan as interim chief executive officer (CEO), effective immediately.

Mr Dolan, who has been a member of Bacardi Ltd’s board since 2009, will be based at the company’s headquarters in Hamilton, subject to Bermuda Department of Immigration approvals, the company said today.

Mr Dolan most recently served as chairman and CEO of IMG Worldwide, a global leader in sports, fashion and media. Mr Dolan joined IMG in 2010 as executive vice-president and chief financial officer.

Previously, Mr Dolan was executive vice-president and chief financial officer of Viacom, Inc.

and prior to that was Chairman and CEO of Young & Rubicam (Y&R), the global marketing services company.
