Apex Group Ltd has appointed Rosie Guest, chief marketing officer, and Vikita Patel, chief human resources officer, to its executive committee.

The group’s executive committee spans five countries and leads a global team of over 4,000 employees in 45 locations worldwide. Apex Group, a global financial services provider, was founded in Bermuda in 2003.

Ms Guest has led and scaled Apex’s marketing and communications function for over six years, during which time she has successfully repositioned the group to reflect its rapid organic growth and integration of 15 acquisitions, the company said.

She leads a central global team responsible for all internal and external marketing and communications for Apex and its subsidiaries. She was awarded 'Disrupter of the Year' at the 2020 Women in Finance Summit & Awards Series and was commended for her role in establishing Apex’s shadow executive committee to diversify the perspectives presented at the most senior level of the organisation.

Ms Patel has steered and grown Apex’s Human Resources team since joining the Group in 2018 from Deutsche Bank. Leveraging over a decade of experience within the HR profession in the financial services industry, she has developed the HR agenda to support Apex’s strategic priorities focusing on key areas such as organisational change and culture, HR operations, reward and recognition, talent management and people analytics, the company said.

The appointments follow a year of double digit percentage headcount growth for the group last year, driven by both acquisitions and organic growth. During the Covid-19 pandemic Apex launched initiatives to support employees, including a bonus advance scheme for all employees below director level, a peer recognition and reward programme “100 Heroes”, and a new “Everyone Deserves a Voice” podcast series.

Peter Hughes, founder and chief executive officer at Apex Group, said: “We are delighted to announce Rosie and Vikita as new additions to our executive committee.

“Apex is a merit-based business and we foster a culture of leading by example, inspiring and engaging others to empower our people to reach their full potential and in turn contribute to our collective goals. The promotions of Rosie and Vikita are further evidence of the excellent pool of talent we have built across the Apex Group, and we look forward to the fresh perspectives they will bring to the table as we work together to drive our business forward in 2021 and beyond.”
