Valaris has charter contract extended
Updated: Jun 30, 2021 11:54 AM
Bermudian-based Valaris Ltd, the offshore drilling services outfit, has been awarded a 200-day extension to its bareboat charter agreement with ARO Drilling.
The company said the agreement is for Valaris JU-250 (Bob Palmer), a heavy-duty ultra-harsh environment jack-up.
Valaris said the extension is in direct continuation of the existing contract and, as a result, the Valaris JU-250 is now expected to be under contract through the end of 2021.
The company said ARO Drilling’s contract with Aramco has been extended for the same period.
Valaris operates a diverse rig fleet of 11 ultra-deepwater drillships, five semi-submersibles and 44 shallow-water jack-ups across six continents.
