Digicel Group has been shortlisted for the World Communication Awards in the Operator of the Year category.

The company’s entry, “Building a Digital Operator”, highlighted the work that culminated in the launch in October 2020 of Digicel as a digital operator.

Digicel said that the category provides a level playing field for small, medium and large organisations, with the judging focused solely on the originality and quality of the entry, as well as evidence of the entrant’s ability to address the market, cultural change and transformation initiatives, besides diversification of business models and business growth.

The winners will be announced at the 23rd annual World Communication Awards at the Business Design Centre in London on October 26.
