Bermuda-based investment company Ocean Wilsons Holdings Ltd has changed auditors, it announced today through the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

Ocean Wilsons, which is based in Bermuda but owns one of the leading marine and ports operating companies in Brazil, said that Ernst and Young had recently resigned as the company’s auditor as it determined that it would not be independent for the company’s 2021 audit.

Ocean Wilsons has now appointed KPMG Audit Ltd Bermuda as its independent auditor with effect from October 21 until the conclusion of the company’s annual general meeting in 2022.

Ocean Wilsons announced in August that it earned a net profit after tax for the six months to June 30 of $51.8 million compared with a $18.4 million loss for the same period in 2020.
