500 registered for International tech summit

Conference panels at the third annual International Technology Summit kick off Wednesday.

The event is spearheaded by Penrose Partners, the Canadian and Bermudian blockchain advisory firm.

Kerem Kolcuoglu, managing partner at Penrose, said just over 500 people have registered for the hybrid event.

He expects about 200 people to attend the conference in person, with more than 50 people flying to the island.

Mr Kolcuoglu said he was “very happy” with the response, adding: “We have curated and been selective with the types of industries and the level of professionals we are targeting with our outreach.”

The event is available to attend virtually via Zoom, and will also be held live at The Front Yard on Front Street in Hamilton.

Mr Kolcuoglu said: “Fingers crossed for good weather.”

A full day of seven, 45-minute fintech panels will be held Wednesday.

A half-day on Thursday will include two, 45-minute climate panels before wrapping up at 12.30pm.

Anyone wishing to attend the panels in-person is advised to contact Mr Kolcuoglu at kerem@penrosepartners.com or Sean Stapley at sean@penrosepartners.com as space is limited.
