Carey Olsen Bermuda Limited has again been ranked as a Band 1 firm for its trusts and private wealth practice in the latest edition of the Chambers and Partners High Net Worth guide, according to a statement from the company.

The firm also said that it remained the only Bermuda legal provider to achieve a Band 1 ranking as a firm and have an individual ranked in Band 1, with industry sources commending Carey Olsen as “a top firm for complex and sophisticated matters” and for its “strong private client team that is able to handle complex matters”. The firm is also noted for its “particularly strong offering on the contentious side“.

Keith Robinson, who is head of the trust and private wealth practice at Carey Olsen Bermuda, continues as a top-ranked practitioner, while counsel Ashley Fife, a member of the same practice group and chairman of the Bermuda branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, is also ranked.

Clients and peers quoted in the publication considered Mr Robinson to be “as good as it gets in terms of Bermuda advice”, “a leading figure in Bermuda” and someone with a “legal understanding second to none in the area of trusts”. Mr Fife is described as having “… a wealth of experience”, with sources also noting how he “works well in a team and is responsive and commercial”.
