MSC announces new ship to cruise to Bermuda on delivery voyage
Bermuda is to be among the ports of call for the delivery trip across the Atlantic Ocean for the MSC Seascape, which has been built by Italy’s Fincantieri ship-building group.
The cruise ship successfully completed her first intensive systems tests at sea during a multiday trial last week, and is to be delivered to US-based MSC Cruises in late November before coming into service in December, sailing year-round from Miami to the Caribbean.
Cruise lovers can be first on board by sailing the delivery trip, which departs Rome on November 19 and makes stops in Spain and Portugal as well as Bermuda before arriving in New York City on December 5.
MSC said the new ship features 2,270 cabins with 12 different types of staterooms and suites with balconies, including coveted aft suites; 11 dining venues plus 19 bars and lounges; and six swimming pools.
Geneva-headquartered MSC has a modern fleet of 19 vessels. The fleet is projected to grow to 23 cruise ships by 2025, with options for six more vessel orders in place through 2030.
