A former general manager of Elbow Beach Hotel has been appointed as managing director, platform head at US-based LW Hospitality Advisors.

Edward Shapard, who is based in Aspen, was GM of Elbow from 2011 until 2013, and chaired the sales and marketing committee of the Bermuda Hotel Association.

LWHA specialises in a range of lodging centric services including asset management, underwriting due diligence, transaction advisory/receivership & restructuring, consulting/advisory/valuation & appraisal/feasibility & market study, litigation support & restructuring and predictive analytics focused exclusively on hotels, resorts, gaming properties, and conference centre assets.

The organisation said it works with corporate, institutional, and individual clients, as well as with municipalities and governmental agencies.
