Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm, has appointed Mark Allitt as a senior managing director with the firm's financial advisory business.

Mr Allitt was a partner at KPMG in Bermuda, head of its advisory practice and regional insurance sector leader, with 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, the last 15 based in Bermuda.

He has worked on reinsurance consulting engagements for both P&C and life insurers within Bermuda and internationally.

Teneo said Mr Allitt has worked on engagements in more than 50 countries, developing an extensive and broad network of contacts within the insurance investor and regulator community, as well as a good understanding of the operational and regulatory environments around the world.

He has extensive experience working with clients and stakeholders throughout the life cycle of an insurance entity, from initial formation through to structural and operational restructuring, to optimise efficiency or address stress or distress within an entity or group.
