Juniper Re announces new island subsidiary
Juniper Re, the reinsurance broking arm of BRP Group Inc, is opening Bermuda operations through its Bermudian subsidiary Juniper Re Bermuda Ltd.
It will be lead by Chris Hayward, who has been appointed as head of office.
In assuming the position, Mr Hayward returns to the broking discipline where he began his career, which has included leadership roles at MS Amlin AG and Willis Re, where he worked for nearly 25 years.
Jeff Irvan, president of Juniper Re, said: “Chris's appointment as our Bermuda head of office comes at a pivotal moment for Juniper Re.
“His vast experience in the reinsurance industry, and specifically Bermuda, is an invaluable asset and his leadership will play a crucial role in our growth.
“This move is a testament to our commitment to our clients and our focus on building an experienced, innovative team. There’s more coming, so keep an eye on Juniper Re.”
Mr Hayward said: “Joining Juniper Re at a time when the company is establishing its presence is truly exciting.
“With only six months since founding, launching the Bermuda operation demonstrates Juniper Re’s commitment to the market as well as further fuelling the energy that continues to surround Juniper Re.
“I am eager to contribute my experience to further solidify Juniper Re's position in the reinsurance industry.
“The company's commitment to authenticity and collaboration aligns perfectly with my own values and I look forward to being part of the team and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.”
