Apex Group Ltd, the Bermudian-based global financial services provider, has appointed Katie Baxter as its new head of Private Clients and Family Office.

She has joined Apex from the Jersey office of the offshore law firm Ogier.

The firm said Ms Baxter has specialised in trust and fiduciary law, advising trustees both at a local and international level on private and commercial structures, including employee incentives and pension trusts.

She also advised individual settlors, beneficiaries, and protectors and worked alongside foreign counsel.

The company said Ms Baxter was recently named a “key lawyer” by Legal500 and has previously been recognised by Citywealth as a Future Leaders Lawyer of the Year and top 40 recommended under 40 of leading private client practitioners in the United Kingdom as well as a Rising Star by Euromoney.

She joins Apex to lead on the private clients and family office service offering, the company said, where she’ll be drawing upon her wide ranging experience to help clients manage the complexities of protecting and growing future wealth.

Apex said its clients include family offices, business owners, entrepreneurs, C-suite executives, asset managers and next generation heirs.
