Hafnia nears Singapore move
The Supreme Court of Bermuda has sanctioned a scheme of arrangement regarding the redomiciliation of Hafnia Ltd, the tanker-owning company, from the island to Singapore.
The company said a copy of the court order is expected to be filed with the Registrar of Companies in Bermuda on or around September 27, upon which the scheme will become binding on the company and its shareholders.
The company expects that the redomiciliation will come into effect on or around October 1, subject to the filing of the court order and the satisfaction or waiver of all conditions to the scheme as set out in the scheme.
Hafnia is part of the BW Group, an international shipping organisation involved in oil and gas transportation, floating gas infrastructure, environmental technologies and deep water production.
An exempted company limited by shares, Hafnia has been registered in Bermuda since 2014.
The company has offices in Singapore, Copenhagen, Houston and Dubai and employs more than 4,000 employees onshore and at sea.
BW LPG — which is associated with BW Group — completed its redomiciliation to Singapore in July.
