BTA welcomes tourism award

The BTA said Bermuda’s No 1 ranking is a testament to the island’s distinctive charm, unmatched hospitality and unparalleled beauty

The Bermuda Tourism Authority welcomed the Condé Nast Traveler annual Readers’ Choice Awards, with Bermuda taking the No 1 spot as Best Island in the Caribbean and Atlantic for the second consecutive year, as reported yesterday byThe Royal Gazette.

The BTA said: “This coveted recognition spans both the US and UK markets, showcasing Bermuda’s undeniable allure as a top-tier destination.”

More than 575,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers from the US and around the globe cast their votes, rating their most memorable travel experiences.

“The Readers’ Choice Awards, recognised as the travel industry’s longest running and most prestigious honours, represent the pinnacle of global travel excellence,” it added.

“For Bermuda to retain it's No 1 ranking is a testament to the island’s distinctive charm, unmatched hospitality, and unparalleled beauty.”

Tracy Berkeley, the chief executive of the BTA said: “Bermuda’s spirit of adventure, hospitality, and community continues to captivate travellers from all walks of life. To be recognised as the best island for the second year in a row reflects the incredible experiences our people offer to every visitor.

“From our crystal-clear waters, beautiful resorts and vibrant culture, Bermuda is a sanctuary for those seeking something truly extraordinary.”
